Dec 2 to Dec 6 2013.

Well it has been a very productive stitching week.

I finally finished the roses gift..Ufff..it was so tiring..I thought I would never finish stitching it.

This was before cutting,washing and ironing.

The snowman my mum is stitching for an exchange also is finished. I have yet to take a picture of Donald. I thought he was cute.

This Tuesday was the last Tuesday of Moharram...it ends the 5 Tuesdays of Moharram and today is Pehli raat of Safar. We didnt go to masjid or for dinner. Instead we had KFC, but it doesnt have that earlier taste.

There were two challenges for hump day..I took part in them and accomplished a lot. 

I am now stitching on the Istitch Advent SAL and the candy cane ornament which Mum started, but couldnt finish.

Cross Stitch friend challenge was to stitch 50, 150,250, or 500 stitches on a project of your own choosing.

and

Cross Stitch Friendly Circle challenge was to stitch 200, 400 or 600 stiches on your chosen piece. 

I managed both pretty well and I feel I did more with the Rose piece.

There is a new SAL starting on the Honking group known as Paine SAL on Dec 1st. Any design from http://www.painefreecrafts.com/

I will be doing the lilies on special hand dyed fabric called Rocket Queen made by Tammy Pollard of Colour Cascades of Australia.

I am doing Forum Romanum on 18ct Magic Guide Aida.It has 40 colours.

It has 40 colours and the third picture shows 1st day progress.. I didnt stitch much as I had other stitching to finish up..

There are many other challenges also in December on FB stitching groups.

1) 9 day partner challenge..My partner is Maire..She showed me four designs..I decided her new design and she chose for me Heart Note Alley. I only have done Part 1 still. I hope to finish upto Part 13.

2) Ending 2013 with a bang challenge - Getting as many WIP'S as you can from now until December 31st! Lets bang 2013 outtta here! If you have way too many then at least try one to finish one small ones!

I am not sure which one to try to complete as all are BAPS..I will try to finish a few pages of some of them to fulfill something.

3)  December/Gift Extended Stitch-A-Long (SAL) -

This will be a longer, combined stitch-a-long for the month of December! Working on a last minute birthday or holiday gift? Working on a piece you just have to (or want to) get done by the end of this month? This extended SAL is for you! Let's end 2013 with a finish or two :) 

Its something like the 2nd one again and same reply..will try to finish a few pages so by 2014 I will be closer to a few finishes..

I definitely know in 2014 I will have many finishes..

Stitching blog started again.

Its December 1st 2013..The last month of the year..Where did the year go? It seems like yesterday we were celebrating the dawn of 2013.

When 2014 comes it will be sad..I lost my grandma and also lost something else which meant a lot to me.

I already have a stitching journal and a website where I keep photos of all my WIPS and my finishes.

I dont know why,but I just felt I needed a blog..I hope I can keep up writing.. 

Today I started a new design for the Paine Free SAL on a FB group The Stash, Stitch and Honking Raketeers Club

I dont know why, but it just called to me.

It has 40 colours and I am stitching it on 18ct DMC Magic Guide Aida.

I made a good friend of mine Esther join the SAL.. she chose a cute owl with big eyes..
